David H. Doyle, an employee at the wire mill dropped dead Sunday afternoon at his home on East Franklin Street. he had been down town and after purchasing some medicine returned, reaching home about 5:30 o'clock. He asked his wife for a drink of water and she went back to get it. Her husband followed and sat down on the back door step. When she returned a few seconds later he had fallen over against the door and a strange pallor overspread his face. Mrs. Doyle assisted him in the house and he died a few seconds later. In his pocket were found two boxes, one containing quinine, the other morphine. This led to a suspicion of suicide and Coroner Keegan gave orders that hte body should not be disturbed until morning. The inquest, however, removed all doubts, and it was ascertained that he had purchased the morphine on a prescription but had not taken any of it. He was predisposed to heart and stomach trouble and this was aggravated by the intense heat. Dr. Keegan's verdict will be that death was caused by heat apoplexy. The deceased was a son of Allen Doyle and was 25 years of age. He married a daughter of William Ansberry and made his home there. The funeral will take place at the residence on East Franklin Street at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial at Oak HIll.
